Gate Safety Promise

Because a dog who gets out is the only thing worse than a dirty yard.

Short answer: Every Pupscaper visit requires a visual gate check, a physical latch pull, and a logged confirmation in the worker app before the technician leaves. If a gate is broken, we don't enter and we tell you right away.

Required on every job

Gate latch protocol

Four steps. Every gate. Every visit.

This is the non-negotiable. The tech doesn't close the visit until all four are logged.

Visual checkIn progress
  1. Visual checkNow
Tech verifies the gate is closed before stepping out.
  2. Physical latch
Hand on the latch — pushed and confirmed engaged.
  3. Photo logged
Closed-gate photo timestamped in the visit receipt.
  4. Visit closes
Receipt sent. Route advances to next stop.

Gate safety FAQs

What if I have multiple gates?

Every gate used during the visit is checked and latched. Add gate notes in the quote form and we'll follow them every week.

What happens if a gate is broken?

We don't enter the yard and we notify you immediately by your preferred contact method.

Can I leave the gate unlocked for service?

Yes. Most customers leave a side gate accessible. We log the closed-gate confirmation in the app on every visit.

Do you photograph the gate?

When access is unusual or a gate looks compromised, yes — and the photo lands in your service history.
